Individual Therapy

Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy or counseling, is a form of mental health treatment where a person meets with a trained therapist in a one-on-one setting to address psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues. The therapist helps the individual understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop coping strategies to improve their overall mental health and well-being. Individual therapy can be helpful for a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and addiction. It can also be beneficial for individuals who are dealing with life transitions, relationship issues, or other challenges. The length and frequency of individual therapy sessions can vary depending on the individual’s needs and goals.
Child Psychotherapy

Child psychotherapy, also known as child and adolescent therapy, is a form of mental health treatment that is specifically designed to help children and teenagers who are struggling with psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues. I use a variety of techniques and approaches to help the child understand and express their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this process, the child can learn coping skills, develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, and improve their overall mental health and well-being. Child psychotherapy can be helpful for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma. It can also be beneficial for children who are experiencing difficulty adjusting to life transitions or dealing with other challenges.
Teen Counseling

Teen counseling, also known as adolescent therapy, is a type of mental health treatment specifically designed to help teenagers struggling with psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues. In the counseling session, I use various techniques and approaches to help the teenager understand and express their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors. Through this process, the teenager can learn coping skills, develop healthier ways of thinking and behaving, and improve their overall mental health and well-being. Teen counseling can be helpful for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and bullying. It can also be beneficial for teenagers who are dealing with relationship problems, family conflicts, or other challenges.
Marriage/Couples Counseling

Marriage and couples counseling is a type of therapy that is designed to help couples improve their relationship and overcome challenges. In marriage and couples counseling, I help couples identify and address underlying issues that are causing problems in their relationship. Through this process, couples can learn effective communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and other strategies to improve their relationship and build a stronger, more fulfilling partnership. Marriage and couples counseling can be helpful for couples dealing with a wide range of issues, including communication problems, infidelity, parenting conflicts, and differences in values and goals. It can also be beneficial for couples who are struggling to navigate life transitions, such as the birth of a child or the loss of a loved one.
Geriatric Therapy & Consultation

Geriatric therapy and consultation is a type of mental health treatment and support that is specifically designed for older adults. Geriatric therapy and consultation can help older adults manage a wide range of psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues that are common in older age, such as anxiety, depression, memory loss, and loneliness. In addition, I provide support and guidance to older adults who are dealing with challenges related to aging, such as chronic pain, mobility issues, or declining physical and mental health. Geriatric therapy and consultation can be helpful for older adults who are living independently, as well as those who are living in assisted living or nursing care facilities.
Telehealth/Virtual Therapy

As a therapist, I offer telehealth and virtual therapy services to my clients. Telehealth and virtual therapy refer to the delivery of mental health treatment and support services through telecommunication technologies, such as phone or video conferencing. This type of therapy allows individuals to receive mental health care from the comfort and convenience of their own home, without the need to travel to a physical therapy office. Telehealth and virtual therapy can be a convenient and effective option for individuals who live in remote areas, have mobility issues, or have busy schedules that make it difficult for them to attend in-person therapy sessions. It can also be beneficial for individuals who are dealing with anxiety or other mental health conditions that make it difficult for them to leave their home.
Group Clinical Supervision

We have What You’ve Been Waiting On! The option of Friday or Saturday Clinical Supervision! Tammie Walker currently has openings for Illinois Clinical Supervision for Illinois LSW Social Workers pursuing their LCSW Clinical licensure status.
Meetings are held virtually via the Zoom platform. You have the option of choosing the Friday Group or Saturday Group.
Two Fridays a month from 1:00 pm (CST) to 3:00 pm (CST).
Or, two Saturdays a month from 8:00 am (CST) to 10:00 am (CST).
